Within your Journeys Area of Study, you are required to analyse visual texts through identifying ideas, techniques and their effect.

When you are given a visual text to analyse, you need to ensure that you use visual techniques and comment on the overall layout to decipher ideas about journeys. To deconstruct visual texts, I encourage you to use the Kress and Leeuwen's Grammar of Visual Design. Below is the PowerPoint we looked at in class. Please ensure that you have all the techniques written in your workbooks, including the symbolism of colour.
